Highblock Halls is the ninth mainland mission in Minecraft Dungeons. It is unlocked after the completion of Fiery Forge and Desert Temple, and completing Highblock Halls unlocks Obsidian Pinnacle. It contains the captured enchantsmith.

It always generates the Secret Room optional sub dungeon that contains a scroll which, if collected, unlocks the Underhalls secret mission.

Appearance and description[edit | edit source]

HIGHBLOCK KEEP – You've made it to the formidable abode of the Arch-Illager. Try not to be distracted by its terrible grandeur, for it crawls with his most trusted soldiers and sorcerers, who are ready to protect their master with their lives.

Guide to Minecraft Dungeons:
A Handbook for Heroes

Highblock Halls is a large castle built by the Arch-Illager's army atop a mountain surrounded by storm clouds. It consists of hallways featuring statues of royal guards, heraldic banners, royal furniture, chandeliers, stained glass windows, decorated rugs, and a statue depicting the Arch-Illager defeating a dragon. Near the start of the mission, a library can be found that contains a hidden button disguised as a shield decoration. Pressing this button opens the entrance door of Secret Room. Shortly after the hallway with the supplies chest, a large outdoor courtyard area full of undead mobs featuring market stalls, heavy rainfall, and a locked gateway can be found. In the north-east part of this courtyard, a small wishing well can be entered, leading to the Well sub dungeon which can be used as a shortcut to skip the locked gateway. Shortly after the locked gateway, a dining room and kitchen where vindicator chefs cook meals can be found, where heroes must crash the Illagers' party by destroying the buffet tables to progress further into the mission. At the end of Highblock Halls, a large throne room can be found where the Arch-Illager sits on his throne, blocking the exit of the mission. Upon seeing the heroes arive, the Arch-Illager will summon an ambush of Illagers, and then flee to Obsidian Pinnacle.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Highblock Halls is an indoor part of a set of missions under the umbrella of Highblock Castle. It was originally known as Highblock Keep.
  • Well, the optional sub dungeon leading to the buffet tables, serves a similar purpose to Slimy Sewers, an unused mission where the hero infiltrates the castle through its sewer system.
