Moo Room is an optional sub dungeon within Camp in Minecraft Dungeons. It is part of the Great Hall optional sub dungeon. It contains the scroll to unlock the ??? secret mission.

Appearance and description[edit | edit source]

Great Hall is a large church[1] that becomes accessible after the hero completes Obsidian Pinnacle for the first time. It is reached by using several spring platforms east of Home, following a hidden path south through the forest, and then traveling back to the west. A drawbridge can be lowered using a lever to make future visits to Great Hall easier. The interior of Great Hall features banners hanging from the ceiling, paintings of the developers on the walls, church pews, stained glass windows, a dog painting, and a button at the back of the hallway. Pressing the button at the back of the hall will give the B rune and unlock nine rune rooms found in each of the mainland non-secret missions. Interacting with the dog painting will show heroes hints to the location of uncollected runes, in the form of paintings of missions that show the location of undiscovered rune rooms. When all nine runes have been collected, the entrance door to Moo Room will become accessible at the very back of Great Hall. Inside Moo Room, the hero can open two obsidian chests and collect the scroll to unlock the ??? secret mission.

Unlocking ???[edit | edit source]

Upon completion of Obsidian Pinnacle and activating the button in the back of Great Hall, nine rune rooms appear in various mainland non-secret missions, where nine runes can be collected. The dog painting inside Great Hall gives hints on how to unlock them.

The levers/buttons that open the rooms containing runes generate only after visiting Great Hall, which requires defeating the Arch-Illager on default.

Creeper Woods (Creeper Woods Rune Room) Near the caravan at the end of the mission, go all the way to the left. A hole should appear that the hero can enter. The first rune is inside, at the end of the platform.
Pumpkin Pastures (Pumpkin Pastures Rune Room) On a stone brick wall there are some crates and an area of stone bricks that are noticeably darker. There is a button behind the crates that moves the darker bricks out of the way, allowing entryway. The second rune is at the end of the platform.
Soggy Swamp (Soggy Swamp Rune Room) To the right of the mission end there is a large tower-like structure. Behind some mushrooms at the base there is a button. Activating it opens a door in the cliff face. The third rune is at the end of the platform.
Redstone Mines (Redstone Mines Rune Room) In the far left side of the area where the hero must free six villagers, there is a hidden button. Pressing it opens the wall. The fourth rune is at the end of the platform.
Fiery Forge (Fiery Forge Rune Room) Upon entering the first bright pathway in the beginning of the mission, on a wall to the right of the Redstone Golem is a lever that can be pulled to open a pathway in the wall. The fifth rune is at the end of the platform.
Cacti Canyon (Cacti Canyon Rune Room) On the left of the entrance to the room where the blue Key Golem is collected, there is a palm tree. Behind it is a button that can be pressed to open the wall behind the blue key. The sixth rune is at the end of the platform.
Desert Temple (Desert Temple Rune Room) In the room in front of where the hero collects the Key Golem, there is a lever on the wall next to a bush and a palm tree. This lever opens a wall. The seventh rune is at the end of the platform.
Highblock Halls (Highblock Halls Rune Room) In the outside area, up the stairs on the far right, an unlit torch acts like a lever, opening the wall. The eighth rune is at the end of the platform.
Obsidian Pinnacle (Cellar) In the study-like area, there is a bookshelf with a book that can be interacted with, near a normally inaccessible room seen on the map. Rather than it being a door to a purple environment with a platform like the other 8, it is a regular room with two chests. The ninth rune is here.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The instruments present in Great Hall's background music change after the entrance door of Moo Room is opened. The instrument played is a church organ before opening the entrance door of Moo Room, while in all cases afterwards a piano is played instead.
  • The music that plays in Moo Room is a slowed down version of the music that plays in ???.
  • The runes required to unlock ??? spell out the phrase "BOVINE PATH".
  • The architecture and furniture within Great Hall resembles the interior of a church.
