MOO – Moo? Moo!

In-game story

??? or Moo is the sixth mainland secret mission in Minecraft Dungeons. It is unlocked after collecting the scroll found in Moo Room, a sub dungeon in Camp accessed by collecting all nine runes from the various rune rooms. Completing ??? does not unlock any missions.

Appearance and description[edit | edit source]

SECRET MISSION – At the top left corner of your map, you will see an outcrop of islands labeled "???." You will find yourself transported to a land filled with giant mushrooms and populated by highly aggressive mooshrooms. How these usually gentle beasts came to be so angry is a mystery, but what is clear is that they can deal serious damage to heroes who enter their territory. Fight your way through the hordes of herds and you will be rewarded with valuable treasure.

Guide to Minecraft Dungeons:
A Handbook for Heroes

??? is an illuminated and isolated mushroom fields island populated by abnormally aggressive mooshrooms. It contains fields and chasms with giant red mushrooms and waterfalls. It features small red mushrooms, pop flowers, glowing mushrooms, wooden bridges, spring platforms, and a single small wooden cottage. The mission starts next to a small wooden dock and boat, used by the heroes to travel to the isolated island. Halfway through the mission, a small wooden cottage with red mushrooms growing on its roof can be found. Near the end of the mission, a spring platform must be used to launch into an arena containing the Mooshroom Monstrosity. Defeating the Mooshroom Monstrosity will lower the gate to the north-east, granting access to another small wooden boat that can be used to exit the mission.

Unlocking[edit | edit source]

The entrance door of Moo Room, the sub dungeon where ???'s scroll is found, is located in Camp at the back of Great Hall.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • ???'s name went through several iterations during development, including Mooshroom Island, Isle of Moo, and Mycelia.
  • It is the only mission and the only secret mission to not contain any ambushes.
  • ???'s music track is made up of cow moos, and is played in reverse during the second half of the music track.
  • The objectives "Moo?" and "Moo!" are based on the names of the following achievements from Minecraft: "The End?", "The End!", "The Beginning?", and "The Beginning!"
  • The Mooshroom Monstrosity is not a fungi-covered Redstone Monstrosity previously defeated in Fiery Forge. This is because the Redstone Monstrosity from Fiery Forge had its head mounted on the wall in Home.
