In-game description

The enchantsmith is a camp merchant that can be found captured within the Highblock Halls mission of Minecraft Dungeons. They allow you to reroll enchantments on any given weapon or armor for the price of an increasing amount of gold.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Interaction[edit | edit source]

An item with the custom tag.

The enchantsmith can be found captured in the outside area of Highblock Halls, next to the golden key gate. After being rescued by the hero, the enchantsmith can be found in the north-east area of the Camp, near the Nether Cave.

The enchantsmith charges gold to change a selected enchantment into a different random enchantment. If a piece of gear that is already enchanted is selected, all enchantment points on that gear are returned. When a piece of gear has been altered by the enchantsmith, it gains a purple "custom" tag. The custom tag does not affect anything about the piece of gear, it is just a label.

Pricing[edit | edit source]

The base price to reroll an enchantment depends on the power level of the item, the price rises as the power level rises. Once rerolling an enchantment, the price to reroll a second time is 10% higher than the previous price. So if the price was fifty gold at first, it would be fifty-five gold for a second reroll. The price rises by 10% upon each reroll until reaching the maximum price of one hundred gold.

Stacking enchantments[edit | edit source]

If an item has a stackable enchantment in the gilded slot, it does not normally appear in any other enchantment slot on that item. However, by rerolling the item with the enchantsmith, stackable enchantments can appear multiple times even when in the gilded slot. This allows some enchantments to stack up to four times, which is not possible through any other method.
