Fuel[edit | edit source]
Overworld wooden slabs can be used as fuel in furnaces, smelting 0.75 items per slab in Java Edition, and 1.5 items per slab in Bedrock Edition.[1]
Note blocks[edit | edit source]
Wooden slabs can be placed under note blocks to produce "bass" sounds.
Sounds[edit | edit source]
In Bedrock Edition, when a wooden slab is combined into a double slab, the block's use/step sound is played.[2]
