SNOWFLAKE IN A BLIZZARD – Long ago, a group of miners built a settlement on the shores of a great lake to harness the powerful energies hidden under the surface. But as time passed, the settlement was forgotten, and now the creeping winter has locked it away in ice. Who would be brave enough to face the elements and rediscover the magic of this lost settlement? Clearly not them...

In-game story

Lost Settlement is the second island realms secret mission in Minecraft Dungeons, and is part of the Creeping Winter DLC. It is unlocked after collecting the scroll found in River Lock and completing Frosted Fjord. Completing Lost Settlement does not unlock any missions.

Appearance and description[edit | edit source]

Lost Settlement is an abandoned village built atop a glacier north-east of Lone Fortress. It is composed of abandoned frostbitten buildings and machinery, with minecart tracks and bridges built across glowing, icy chasms. It features frozen wooden crates, lanterns, glowing green redstone lamps, dark stone brick structures, green torches, large icy trees, campfires, war machines with creeper faces on them, and a blue lava-like substance at the bottom of the glowing chasms. The starting area of the mission contains a tent and campfire with a dig site to the north-west. In the dig site, two wooden bridges must be activated using two buttons to safely travel across the foggy chasm to the north, where a supplies chest and a statue of a hero holding a glaive can be found atop a dark stone brick area. Further north, an expansive ice wall next to a forest must be crossed to reach a second dark stone brick area with another supplies chest. To the north-east, a snowy forest can be found that features redstone lamps, wooden buildings, large trees, and stacks of logs covered in snow. To the north-east, a drawbridge leading to a log gate can be found past a group of tents with emerald urns inside them, where an ambush must be defeated to lower the log gate, granting access to the frozen village. After leaving the village and heading to the north-west, a labyrinth of wooden walkways with an illusioner must be crossed to reach a final dark stone brick area. At the center of the area, a relic can be seen, having the appearance of a glowing green redstone lamp, that must be procedurally activated by pressing buttons that spawn waves of ambushes. These waves of ambushes cannot be defeated, and instead last a designated amount of time indicated by a runic clock in the center. Successfully surviving all three stages of the relic's activation, with the last stage having a fight with another illusioner, will lower the gate to the north-west, granting access to the exit door of the mission.

Unlocking[edit | edit source]

The entrance door of River Lock, the sub dungeon where Lost Settlement's scroll is found, can rarely spawn in Frosted Fjord Cave within Frosted Fjord during the following objective: "THE CREEPING WINTER: REJOIN THE RIVER"
