Woodland Mansion is a relatively simple mission, but does have some complications. One of these are dispenser traps. There are also several rooms containing tables similar to secret scroll, but contain redstone crystals instead. Several of these tables trigger ambushes when the redstone is taken. There are several other devices that can be used to shut down redstone walls that obscured several chests and emerald urns. After that, the hero can use a blue diamond key golem to unlock a door to the roof of the mansion. Once there, they must face an arena battle with charged creepers and one or two evokers, after which the hero must activate the lightning rods to stop the charged creepers from spawning. When a lightning rod is deactivated, lightning strikes, electrifying the nearby water, making stepping in puddles deal damage. |

Woodland Mansion is a sub-mission in Minecraft Dungeons that is found exclusively within ancient hunts.
Appearance and description[edit | edit source]
Woodland Mansion is a remote two-story building located deep within a forest. It is composed of long wooden hallways lined with red carpets, as well as rooms that are dotted with redstone crystals and various kinds of traps. It features paintings, bookshelves, plant pots, windows, torches, hanging lanterns, fireplaces, dining tables, and candles. The starting area of this sub-mission takes place in Woodland Mansion Outside, which contains a small walkway leading up to the entrance of the mansion, as well as a stained glass window that depicts the Arch-Illager. Upon entering the entrance door of the mansion, a secret bookcase must be opened by interacting with a skeleton skull, revealing a button. Pressing this button starts an ambush which, if defeated, lowers the gates around the mansion, granting access to the ground floor. Scattered around the mansion are hunt doors which lead to Gold Room or one of the various ancient dungeons, as well as redstone crystals that start ambushes when interacted with. Upon navigating to the north-west side of the mansion, a diamond key golem can be found behind a gate next to a fireplace. Another button must be pressed to lower the gate, and the diamond key golem must be brought back to the south-east side of the mansion to open a blue locked gateway. Successfully opening the locked gateway grants access to the entrance door of The Roof. The Roof is an area atop Woodland Mansion that features three lightning rods, electrified floors, and a button in the center. Pressing the button starts an ambush with several evokers and charged creepers. Upon defeating the ambush, more charged creepers will begin to spawn periodically, and the three lightning rods must be activated in a certain order. After doing so, the exit door or portal of the sub-mission can be accessed to the north-west.

1.8.0.0 | Added Woodland Mansion. |
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- This mansion is the one that the Arch-Illager grew up in, and is the one seen in The Rise of the Arch-Illager, as both are described as being within Creeper Woods.
- There was previously a bug where the scroll found in Creeper Woods Crypt within Creeper Woods would show on the mission select map as having not been collected. This led to many believing that Woodland Mansion could be unlocked as a secret mission by collecting a different scroll from Creeper Woods.
- A painting at the entrance of the mansion is based on Nether Update concept art that depicts Alex in a warped forest.
