— In-game story |
The Stronghold is the eleventh mainland mission in Minecraft Dungeons, and is part of the Echoing Void DLC. It is unlocked after the completion of Squid Coast, and completing The Stronghold unlocks End Wilds.
Appearance and description[edit | edit source]
The Stronghold is an expansive underground dungeon on a remote taiga island located south-east of the mainland. It contains pathways lined with torn blue carpets, bridges suspended over bottomless pits, a flooded chamber, a wooden library hanging from the ceiling, and a prison area suspended over lava. It features stone ruins, amethyst geodes, torches, candles, barrels, crates, an elevator, silverfish falling from the cracks in the ceiling, six eye of ender gates, and an end portal in the center suspended over lava. The six eye of ender gates block off sections of the mission that contain obsidian chests, and will be lowered when collecting the eyes of ender dropped by the endersent found within the six endersent dungeons. Attempting to open one of these gates without having collected its respective eye of ender will display the following message:

|
„ |
Additionally, six hidden buttons can be found in different areas around The Stronghold. Activating all six of these buttons opens the entrance door to Vault in the room with the end portal. Attempting to enter the end portal without having collected all six eyes of ender will display the following message:
“ |
|
„ |
After successfully collecting all six eyes of ender from the six endersent dungeons, the end portal can be entered. Entering the portal ends The Stronghold mission and automatically starts the End Wilds mission.
