PROTECT THE PANDAS – Within a secluded bamboo forest, perched on the face of a sprawling cliffside, a community of pandas have escaped the corrupting presence of the shard - until now. We need to fight back against the sprawling, strangling vines which have threatened to take over the homes of these lovable, defenseless pandas.

Panda Plateau is the first island realms secret mission in Minecraft Dungeons, and is part of the Jungle Awakens DLC. It is unlocked after collecting the scroll found in Fossil Canyon and completing Dingy Jungle. Completing Panda Plateau does not unlock any missions.

Appearance and description

Panda Plateau is an expansive bamboo jungle located south of Overgrown Temple. It is composed of uneven terrain with cliffs, and is populated with countless bamboo stalks and a once-thriving community of pandas. It features jungle foliage, stone ruins, small water ponds, waterfalls, torches, a dark cave, and statues of pandas, parrots, and villagers. Near the start of the mission, a bamboo gate can be found with a gold statue of the Arch-Illager next to it that prevents access further into the mission. To the south-west, a stone ruin can be found up a steep hill suspended high above the ground. It contains a switch that, if activated, lowers the bamboo gate below and starts an ambush. Shortly after the bamboo gate, an open area with a water pool in the center can be found that contains five captured pandas. Rescuing all five pandas lowers the bamboo gate to the north-east, granting access to a pathway that leads to the entrance door of Panda Plateau Cave. Panda Plateau Cave is an expansive cave with glowing mushrooms, thin dirt pathways, and an additional six captured pandas. The six captured pandas must be rescued to lower a bamboo gate at the end of the cave, granting access to the exit door. After exiting Panda Plateau Cave, a supplies chest can be opened and a village built atop the trees can be found to the south-west. After making it past the village, a long pathway populated with celebrating pandas can be found that leads to a small wooden boat. This boat can be used to escape the plateau, ending the mission.

Unlocking

The entrance door of Fossil Canyon, the sub dungeon where Panda Plateau's scroll is found, can rarely spawn in Dingy Jungle during the following objective: "JOURNEY INTO THE JUNGLE: CROSS THE CANYON"
