Behavior

Hostile

An icy creeper is a hostile creeper variant that can be found within the Creeping Winter and Howling Peaks DLCs of Minecraft Dungeons.

Lore[edit | edit source]

When icy creepers explode, their explosion sends "supercooled water" onto any nearby hero, causing them to freeze for a few seconds.[1] This might possibly be represented in-game by the snowy mist that slows down heroes.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Ignition

Icy Creepers behave similarly to normal creepers, walking towards the hero and exploding. The explosion deals less damage then a normal creeper, but produces a snowy mist that slows down nearby heroes.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Icy creepers previously started out blue to fit the wintery biome theme of the creeping winter, but quickly changed it back to green in order to not change the iconic mob and instead added snow particles around it.[2]
    • It also had an unused face texture in the game files, where it had snow or ice on top of its head.
