Sandstone Ruins is an unused optional sub dungeon that would have been within the mission Coral Rise.
Appearance and description[edit | edit source]
Sandstone Ruins does not have an entrance door that leads to it from Coral Rise. Sandstone Ruins itself is a small underwater area with broken structures and coral, resembling the appearence of a warm ocean ruin in Minecraft. Scattered around the area, various small piles of sand can be found that, if interacted with, can spawn a common chest. The chance of a chest spawning when interacting with one is random. These interactable piles of sand resemble buried treasure chests from Minecraft.
Objectives location[edit | edit source]
While Sandstone Ruins cannot be found during any Coral Rise objectives, as it is unused, its files suggest that it would have been found during the following Coral Rise objective: "RUINED: EXPLORE THE RUIN".

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Despite not having an entrance door that leads to it from Coral Rise, Sandstone Ruins does have the
cr_sandstone_entrance
objectgroup ID in the code. However, despite its name, this piece of generation is merely a dead end and does not actually have a door. - Sandstone Ruins has an entire unused music track composed for it that can be found in the files. This music track was not included in the Hidden Depths OST.
