1.9-pre4 is the fourth and final pre-release for Java Edition 1.9.

• Changed scaling.

Command format

Selectors

• Changed handling of r= in entity selectors
  • Now based on the position of the entity and not on the center of the block anymore - meaning that r=0 only selects entities at the exact same position.

Gameplay

• Made players invulnerable during dimension changes.

Fixes

4 issues fixed

From the 1.9 development versions

• MC-85135 – Projectiles are smaller as projectiles than they are on the ground.
• MC-90711 – Marker armor stands cannot be selected within r=0.
• MC-96254 – Player grace period missing for damage.
• MC-97316 – Target selector arguments r, rm are counting distance from the middle of the bottom face of the block, instead of from the position of the entity running the command.
• Player entities ticking twice on servers.
• Fixed an issue that can affect sound positions.
