Behavior[edit | edit source]
- Basic attack

Necromancers use their staff to summon zombies to attack heroes. They summon mobs much more often than the Nameless One. Should the hero get too close, necromancers immediately flee until they are a safe distance from the hero, and then summon mobs again. They do not summon mobs if there's about seven or more zombies around them. Also, if a necromancer is cornered against a wall, they might not summon any zombies due to the lack of space.
- Strong attack

Necromancers also rapidly fire damaging laser orbs from their staff to heroes. The laser orbs deal less damage than the zombie's melee attack but more damage than the skeleton's ranged attack, and they also knock the hero back.
- Novelty

Necromancers sometimes throw their staff into the air while idling.

A necromancer can lock onto a hero who flees more than 20 blocks. [citation needed] |
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- A necromancer was seen summoning drowned within the reveal trailer for the Hidden Depths. However, it was a placeholder for drowned necromancers, the aquatic variant of the mob. Despite this, it can spawn within the Dry Dry Dungeon of the Abyssal Monument.
- A necromancer's laugh can be heard in 0:30 Caves & Cliffs part one trailer.
- When playing multiplayer, if both heroes press the button at the same time, the haunted caller spawns alongside an extra duplicate. This makes it harder to beat than the Unbreakable One and the Thundering Growth due to both the undead enchantments.
