— In-game description |
Usage[edit | edit source]
The torment quiver has a six second cooldown, +1 soul gathering, and requires 30 souls to activate.
Upon activation the quiver is swapped out for 3 torment arrows, which remain until they are used and cannot be refilled unless all of them are fired and the artifact is used again. Note that the description does not specifically name the arrows, so "torment arrow" is the working name due to a tradition of naming special arrows after their respective quivers.
When fired, the torment arrows travel slowly and follow a straight trajectory. It deals continuous damage to mobs on contact and also deals heavy knockback. It is also able to pass through walls.
The speed of the torment arrows can be increased with certain enchantments and ranged weapons. Firing the arrows after charging them with a bow sends the arrow flying much faster. The arrow is also capable of hitting the same enemy multiple times. Some bosses, like the Enderman in Soggy Swamp, can be knocked into the instant-kill water if punch is enchanted on the bow used.
Equipment that increases ranged damage, such as Hunter's Armor, and the Phantom Armor can affect the amount of damage dealt. Damage can also be increased through the Soul Focus enchantment.
Certain effects from ranged weapons and enchantments are still applied to the torment arrow, these include:
Dynamo
Accelerate
Bonus Shot
Enigma Resonator
Gravity
Growing
Infinity
Multishot
Piercing
Poison Cloud
Power
Punch
Radiance Shot
Ricochet
Supercharge
Wild Rage
The damage range depends on the item's power.
