— Guide to Minecraft Dungeons: A Handbook for Heroes |
A redstone golem is a powerful golem that can be found within the various missions of Minecraft Dungeons. A non-powerful redstone golem can rarely be summoned by the Arch-Illager atop the Obsidian Pinnacle.
Lore
Redstone golems were the first known mobs created by the Orb of Dominance, even before Archie took hold of the Orb. There were six unactivated redstone golems already within the cave where the Orb resided. A redstone golem is also seen attacking iron golems within the intro cinematic. In the prequel novel, the golems were made by filling a mold made of diamonds with redstone, that would melt from the lava surrounding the mold, before being animated by the Orb.

Behavior
Redstone golems have five behaviors.
- Run
Redstone golems run toward their target, stomping their feet loudly. Their speed almost matches that of the hero if they are not using any speed buffs.
- Swipe attack
Redstone golems swing one of their arms across to attack, dealing heavy damage and high knockback to any hero or summon within range every 1.3 seconds.
Karate Chop
Esclusive to the Arcade Edition of the game, Redstone Golems can karate chop heroes standing in front of them.
- Charge up electric transfer attack
Periodically, the redstone golem will hunch over and dig its arms into the ground while overloading the redstone in its body. This causes fourteen mines to appear in random areas of the ground around it over a small period. Touching the mines will cause them to explode, dealing high damage in a small area. Pets are still capable of triggering the mines despite the fact that they will never be targets of the golem. While performing this attack, the golem will be immobile.
- Novelty
Redstone golems will rarely beat their chests repeatedly before roaring when being idle. This is usually unseen due to the golem's high targeting range.
Health
Redstone golems have 5,000 HP in the code, the most HP of any miniboss. The unbreakable ones have 10,000 HP in the code. On Default I, all mobs have 9.6% health and 12% damage of what is set in the code.
