Trivia[edit | edit source]
- There is an achievement referred to by the name "Iceologer's Revenge" that is obtained by using the ice wand to defeat a glow squid. It is a reference to the iceologer losing to the glow squid in the mob vote of the original game.
- The eponymous squid concept originally came about from a joke among the developers about having a secret squid boss appear within the Squid Coast.[2]

We had joked for months about a squid boss appearing in the tutorial level and it morphed into this silly, joyous achievement.
