Mojang cinematics are animated videos or rendered images taken from official Mojang social media platforms or official releases. Many different studios are commissioned to work on them, but the most prevalent are Element Animation and Brikk Animation.

Under a slightly modified tune of Edvard Grieg's Morning Mood, Alex and Steve happen upon a ruined portal and decide to fix it up. On the other side, they're introduced to the many biomes and creatures of the Nether, such as an enderman lurking in the warped forest, as Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King started playing. Soon, they end up ambushed by a squad of piglins, who shoot them dead with arrows. The two return, now wearing iron armor, and manage to survive long enough to retreat into a crimson forest, as the piglins ambush them from inside the fungi. This time, the heroes came prepared and place down a respawn anchor, only to end up dying and thus losing their armor.

From there, Steve tries to make peace with the piglins by gifting one rotten flesh. He gets killed. He gifts the same piglin gold ingot while wearing gold armor. He gets the piglins' respect. Steve and Alex then proceed to mine nether gold ore, but are spotted by a ghast. After respawning they notice a hoglin and hunt it for meat. Following a hefty meal, they forge new netherite armor and fight countless mobs on top of a dune in a soul sand valley.

Steve and Alex are exploring a mountain cave, with Steve feeling intimidated by a cobweb. After cowering behind Alex, she pulls out a torch, and soon they begin mining for copper. Feeling mischievous, Alex makes a shadow puppet of a spider using a dead bush, to Steve's horror. After some facial banter, Alex decides to leave on a minecart, but falls down a long track through a mineshaft into a lush cave. A spring catches her fall, meanwhile Steve continues mining and ends up falling into a dripstone cave himself, suffering great injuries through slapstick.

Meanwhile, Alex dances on big dripleaves. She then stumbles upon an amethyst geode. Steve is not so fortunate, getting burned and stabbed many times while trying to find his way out, as several real spiders apparently sit back and laugh at him. Alex befriends an axolotl, Steve tries to run in fear from a massive clutter of spiders. He falls down a hole and falls right on top of Alex, sending her down a waterfall into a cave full of monsters. In a panic, they use the materials they gathered over their journey to craft a spyglass, eyeing out an exit for them. With the axolotl bucketed, they scurry out of the cave and seal it with gravel, only to realize they are now at the top of the mountain.

To make matters worse, Steve is rammed off the cliff by a goat.

Noor is eating a glow berry while relaxing on a boat chest in a mangrove swamp, when suddenly an army of tadpoles appear. Taking a liking to one tadpole, Noor decides to put it in a bucket, before reaching into the chest and pulling out a spyglass. With it, Noor spies an allay playing near a Nether Portal, which Alex, Steve, and a frog then emerge out of. Noor takes another liking to the allay, and decides to hand it a glow berry. The allay decides to lead Noor somewhere, passing by Steve and Alex digging a hole, before arriving at a beautiful lush cave where many frogs are playing on big dripleaves. Amazed by its beauty, Noor decides to depart with the tadpole, releasing it into the spring.

Steve and Alex are mining sculk near an ancient city, accidentally setting off a sculk shrieker to Steve's horror. Later, Alex and Steve are fighting a horde of piglins, as an accompanying frog barfs out a froglight. After escaping through a Nether portal, the duo begin digging a hole; the same one seen in Where Will You Wander. The scene transitions into a campsite, where Steve, Alex, Sunny, Noor, and Efe are relaying stories around a campfire. An allay arrives and drops a glow berry below Noor's feet. Inspired, Noor pulls out a second glow berry and recounts the events of Where Will You Wander, eating the berry after finishing.

Sunny and Efe begin reciting a story themselves, Sunny mimicking the Warden to set the mood. The trailer then fades into footage of What Will You Uncover, before Sunny pulls out an egg, presumably the one that ratted them out. Sunny then tosses it away, to the chicken's dismay. Irritated, the chicken then startles Efe and Sunny.

Summary[edit | edit source]

A baby zombie is elevated up to a circle of chickens, behind them the phrase Minecraft Live. The zombie begins chasing a chicken, passing a ring of floating glow squids, a group of enchanters (one of which smacking the child with a book) enchanting several unseen mobs, several iceologers dropping ice, and then finally the date for the event; October 3rd. An enderman screams as the chicken and baby zombie run through an abstract labyrinth, before encircling a redstone monstrosity on minecarts. The chicken rushes behind a locked gate, but the baby zombie has a key golem, and then they fall into mud, briefly getting some flower petals to become a giant muddy pig's flower. Continuing with giant mobs, the next area they race through is a black void with oversized flowers and a ginormous moobloom and normal sized bees. From there they run past what appear to be balloons of a panda, the Arch-Illager, a horned sheep, and a ghast, as fireworks explode around them. The video concludes with all the relevant information for the event established, but the zombie never reaching the chicken, a haunting cluck ending the final shot.

The trailer begins with a booming announcer with a 1980s-adjacent vocal filter, describing Minecraft Live as "pushing the boundaries of what was thought to be possible." Showing a film of Alex riding a horse, they showcase the progress of the medium, starting with color, then sound, then "3D and cinemascope." Finally, they promise to show Minecraft Live in "the most exciting cinema technique in broadcast history," titling it "Quadramorphic Endervision" in front of a large audience of zombies and husks, one of which reaching out to the viewer.

The announcer continues, promising "four times more color" with a flock of several parrots. "Four times the entertainment," represented when the parrots begin dancing on jukeboxes. "Four times more unpredictable," when a piglin is caught dancing, to its own embarrassment. After giving the date of the event, the announcer reveals "what our experts have been working on," a massive stereo contraption called the "Pillager Raid-eo Sound." A chicken steps on a pressure plate, which activates the machine, making it play a screeching horn. After the chicken is sent flying by the sheer volume of the horn, the announcer promises the yearly Mob Vote, before promising the show will be broadcasted live through our state of the art broadcasting system, BEACON."

This year, we’re introducing a brand new way for you to vote for a new mob. You’ll have 24 hours to cast your vote in the launcher, on Minecraft.net, or by playing a special Bedrock server! So mark your calendars, set an alarm, and prepare yourself for the latest news from Minecraft: Legends, Minecraft: Dungeons, and Minecraft!

The video opens on the visual of a tadpole swimming into the camera's direction, seemingly greeting the viewer before hundreds of tadpoles form a school in the shape of the Minecraft Live logo. A temperate frog swims into view, before leaping up into a lush cave and marching out into a savanna, with two other frogs, while many mobs bob their head. The frogs then appear briefly in a grove, with the cold frog eating a goat whole. The frogs then appear in a swamp, with a fourth frog attempting to eat a small slime, which is then saved by an allay. The fourth frog is very agitated by this.

Chasing after the allay through a mountain, it leaps near a sign labeled "it is snapshot day, my dudes" and lands on top of a goat. Agitating it in return. The allay, the fourth frog, and the goat run by a zombie, the latter almost running it over. The zombie is also very agitated by this. They all run through a birch forest, as text appears in the sky explaining that the show broadcasted live, as many farm animals also become agitated. The frog appears suddenly in the Nether, where it chews up a magma cube and spits out a froglight, agitating another magma cube beside it.

The three initial frogs reappear, now in a desert, with the agitated mobs chasing after each other in the background. They then appear in a jungle and then the border between a crimson forest and soul sand valley, with the agitated mobs continuing to appear in the distance. They then appear in a mineshaft, with the release date being given and monsters joining the dancing. Suddenly, the Arch-Illager appears, and to his horror the Orb of Dominance is eaten by a frog. He tries to chase after the frog, but is stampeded by established mobs. The frogs then appear in a village.

As the frogs emerge in a mushroom field, the Mob Vote is announced. They then appear rapidly between a stronghold, the ocean, a woodland mansion, and then the End, the mobs continuing to run in the background. Finally, the allay flies into the deep dark, where the fourth frog trips and accidentally sets off a staggering amount of sculk sensors, summoning the Warden, who appears from underneath the Arch-Illager. The frogs proceed to march on normally, while everyone else flees the agitated Warden as it destroys text confirming news on update. The scene transitions to a mace runt attacking several villagers, before being caught off guard by the stampede of agitated mobs, causing the mace runt to also become agitated. The frog trio continue marching on, now in a village from Minecraft Legends.

The allay then flies by Alex in a mangrove swamp, who is placing a mangrove sign, which the allay knocks her into. Overwhelmed by the massive amount of mobs chasing after the slime, the allay hands it over to her, before revealing the sign was for the train to Minecraft Live. This somehow calms everyone down, as they begin dancing once again and get on the train.

Petals fall in a cherry grove, before suddenly taking on an amorphous shape and swarming in unison through a plains, and then a desert, a coral reef, and a jungle. They then appear in a village, where Noor is trimming an iron helmet. The leaves suddenly cause the helmet to drop, before summoning Noor into a strange spacial void to tell the viewer to "get ready." Curious, Noor begins to chase after the pink petals. The scene transitions to a stronghold infested with monsters, where Ari and Efe are reading, unaware of a potential ambush. The petals transport them too, now saying "Broadcast Live, Watch Online."

In a mangrove swamp, Kai and Makena are already chasing the petals, jumping over various lily pads to reach it. They then converge with Steve in the cherry grove, where they discover a large, red concrete monument under construction by Noor, who waves. The petals then lift them up to Noor, giving them red concrete blocks to build with. Meanwhile, Sunny is digging up an archer sherd in a desert, before being interrupted by the petals to inform the viewer about the Mob Vote being in-game. Sunny then follows the petals into the grove, nearby a sniffer, which is then also warped to text saying "On the Horizon News & Updates." As Sunny arrives at the construction site, Ranger and several cobblestone golems also appear, and after them Zuri.

Underground, several bats fly with the petals, passing an amethyst geode, before reaching an ancient city. Alex is reaching into a chest, claiming the ward armor trim, and then getting shown the release date of Minecraft Live. Dropping the trim, she runs off to follow the petals, unknowingly summoning the Warden. However, the Warden is then shown the phrase "Be There! Be Square" by the petals. Alex then appears in the grove, and is lifted up directly in Steve's face. Sunny and Makena are placing down black concrete powder and black wool, the build soon being completed and revealed as the logo of the event, as many more mobs run up to see it. Satisfied, the pink petals envelope the screen.

A frog tries to eat a blue parrot, when as it dodges the tongue, suddenly the Minecraft Live logo appears. The blue parrot perches down next to a gray parrot, as the two begin bobbing their heads to the sound of music. A chicken teleports into the area, followed by an enderman, a panda, and a goat. An armadillo begins dancing along, and then a leucistic axolotl. The previously established goat and chicken join in, followed by a persian cat above the axolotl. Several animals are shown in succession, including a white sheep, the panda, a red fox.

Several more animals continue to spawn into the room, beginning with a turtle, followed by a cow. Suddenly, the mobs begin to vanish in a hurry, leaving behind a bee, a salt & pepper rabbit, and the persian cat. The date for the event appears, which the rabbit looks up at, before the bee appears to read over it and leave. The cat falls asleep, concluding the video.

Move over, Swan Lake. The Nutcracker, your days are numbered. A third ballet should also be shaking in its slippers. There’s a new show in town courtesy of Element Animation and it features Nether mobs delivering the performance of a lifetime. Literally, if you stay in the Nether too long.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Animated to the tune of Orchestral Suite no. 2 in B minor, a baby piglin takes the stage. Appearing first under a spotlight, seemingly nervous, many other piglins appear, first with their eyes glowing in the dark, then dancing in the light with gold swords. The baby piglin is quickly approached by four hoglins, inexplicably dancing on their hind legs, alongside a baby hoglin that is pushed off a cliff with the piglin. The two fall on top of a piglin brute, who is intimidated and irritated by their disturbance on their cranium. Seemingly threatening them with an axe, the two dance away in a hurry, leaping across many striders to safety in a basalt delta, and then being launched into the air by magma cubes.

At the top of the delta, the piglin begins riding the hoglin, passing by a random sheep. A barrage of ghasts begin shooting fireballs at them, but they manage to avoid all but the last one, which sends them flying into a minecart. A haunting of endermen are loitering on the track, teleporting away in a panic right before being hit. As the duo reaches the end of the track, many mobs join them in their dance, culminating in them all climbing on top of each other and striking a pose.

Steve and Alex are meeting up in a village, when they're suddenly approached by a non-corporeal voice, asking if they've discovered everything in part one of the Caves & Cliffs update. They shrug, triggering an earthquake. They fall into a display of many new features, including candles, glow lichens, and amethyst geodes. While Alex is mining amethyst, she's interrupted by a screaming goat. The song continues, stressing those are only a fraction of the new features, listing off dripleaves, more options for dirt paths, powder snow, copper ore, raw ore, and lightning rods. After announcing that last feature, a wandering trader is electrocuted.

The song moves on to explain oxidation and the use of honeycombs to wax them. The song then establishes blocks of raw copper, but Steve notices a goat and expects it to scream. It doesn't, but a second goat next to him does. The song then introduces axolotls, and them being compatible with buckets, before moving onto glow squids and their ambience, as well as their ink being usable on signs and item frames. The song then mentions dripstone caves and deepslate ores. As Steve and Alex climb up a mountain, the song concludes by stressing more content is being added, before a goat screams again.
