Nurm is a villager and a close friend of Jack. He is a cartographer at Jack and Nurm's Adventure Emporium in Beacontown, he runs it together with Jack. He accompanied Jesse and his friends on their quest to defeat the Admin.

Appearance

Nurm is a villager, with conventional features such as a long nose, tan skin, green eyes, and a large head. His outfit consists of a white robe, a green hat with a black stripe with a white feather stuck into it, and a gold belt and cuffs.

Personality

Nurm does not talk much, but he is very intelligent, being "the genius behind all of (Jack's) fine maps", and can read the runes in the Sea Temple. Unlike Jack, Nurm believed in the existence of the Admin genuinely.

Nurm can get scared in dangerous situations, but he trusts Jack and is daring enough to go adventuring with him. As an exception, he does fight in Jailhouse Block, when he uses two iron axes to fight hostile mobs. He is willing to sacrifice himself for others, shown when he offers to stay behind in the prison so Lluna can leave.

Biography

Nurm originally lived in the valley of Pur'gan-Gah, until Jack visited and decided to join him on his adventures.

Trivia

• Jack can communicate with Nurm by listening to him speak through Villagerese. He tends to translate his words for him as Jesse's gang can't speak the language, and vice versa.
  • However, in Jailhouse Block, when Nurm offers to stay behind, Jesse is able to understand him just fine.
• It is confirmed by Eric Stirpe that Nurm's vocal cords allow him to speak only Villagerese.
• Nurm was confirmed to be a cartographer villager.
• Similarities between Nurm and Dr. Trayaurus were completely coincidental. Instead, the inspiration for his character came from asking "what if Kurt Russell was like Han Solo with a Chewbacca-type sidekick."
