A pale garden is an Overworld forest biome. It features pale oaks, pale moss blocks, and pale moss carpets. Creaking hearts and their spawned creakings can be found here.

Description

The pale garden is a biome variant of the dark forest, and they usually generate adjacent to dark forests in high inland areas. A pale garden consists of pale oak trees, with pale moss patches with pale moss blocks and pale moss carpets, and eyeblossoms dotted around. Pale hanging moss can also be found hanging off the trees. Some of these trees may contain a creaking heart block, which spawns a creaking when activated at night. The water, sky, and blocks of the biome are desaturated. Pale gardens do not generate woodland mansions.

The pale garden is one of two biomes in the game in which background music does not play (the other is the warped forest). If a music track is playing while the player enters the biome, it softly fades out. The music resumes when the player exits the biome.

Mobs

Creakings are found in this biome only at night, but their spawning is controlled by creaking hearts, not the biome. Regular passive mobs do not naturally spawn in the pale garden during the day,[1] but normal hostile mobs can spawn here at night.[2]

Trivia

  • In a tweet, it is mentioned that the reason why the creaking and eyeblossoms are inactive during the day is because they are asleep.[3]
