Villagers are a species that live in villages. A one villager member fully appears in Minecraft: Story Mode – Season Two.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Villagers are typically described as pacifists[1], avoiding combat. However, some, like Nurm, break this stereotype. Nurm, originally from the Valley of Pur'gan-Gah, is willing to engage in battle. While most villagers prefer to stay in their villages, some, like Nurm, enjoy adventuring. Jack notes that most villagers do not share this interest in exploration and adventure.[2]
Language[edit | edit source]
Villagers speak Villagerese, a language unique to their species. It is often unintelligible to non-villagers. However, Jack is able to understand most of the language, allowing him to communicate more effectively with villagers, including Nurm, who exclusively speaks in the language due to his vocal cords being limited to producing it.[3]

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- According to Jack, the villagers from the Mushroom Archipelago are credited with naming the ocean monument created by Romeo, known as "The Sea Temple."
- In a pre-release build of Below the Bedrock that was pushed to the public Episode 4 PC branch, textures and models for several villagers were found. These assets were later removed in the final version of the game.
- Most of these assets are leftovers from Hero in Residence, as indicated by "201" in their file names. The "2" represents the season, while "1" indicates the episode number, this naming pattern is also seen in other files.
- One villager was seemingly intended to appear in Fred's Keep, as suggested by the presence of "Neathfolk" in its texture and model file names. This naming pattern is also seen in the files for Fred's Keep townspeople.
