Bats are flying mammals found in the caves and dark areas of Overworlds in Minecraft: Story Mode.
History[edit | edit source]
In The Order of the Stone, many bats are seen flying near Petra and Jesse while they are falling from a bridge after escaping monsters. Petra punches a bat while she is falling.
In the same episode, if Jesse's gang decides to make a dirt hut, two bats can be seen flying in the distance, although this is determinant.
In Assembly Required, one of the circuits of Ellegaard spawns bats when activated by Jesse, although this is determinant.
In the same episode, many bats are seen flying above the statues of the Order of the Stone in Soren's fortress.
In The Last Place You Look, several bats can be seen flying around Jesse when they chooses to jump down into the hole. If the amulet is dropped, the bats will fly away.
In the beginning of Order Up!, multiple bats can be seen flying above the jungle biome.
In the beginning of A Portal to Mystery, a bat is caught on Jesse's face when they falls from the sky.
In Access Denied, bats are seen chasing Jesse and his friends out of a portal and into the portal network.
In A Journey's End?, Jesse can see a sleeping bat through a window in Hadrian's Palace. If Jesse chooses to tap the window (Determinant), the bat will fly away. He/she also calls it "Batsy."
In Above and Beyond, a bat can be seen during the start when Jesse's gang, along with Binta or Radar are sneaking into Beacontown in a cave near Beacontown
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Just like in Minecraft, bats are friendly creatures that only serve as ambience and do not attack the character.
