Pocket Edition v0.2.1 alpha

v0.2.1 alpha is a minor update to Minecraft: Pocket Edition released on March 14, 2012, which adds new control options, as well as other changes and fixes.[2] This version is the last release of Pocket Edition Lite on iOS.

Additions Edit

Changes Edit

  • Adult Pigs now naturally spawn.
  • Flying is changed – ascend/descend by sliding from the center button to the up/down button.
  • Bigger screens have more hotbar icons.
  • Blocks now have 'cracking' animation when destroying them.
  • The circle shown when breaking blocks is sharper.
  • Oak trees now generate with spruce wood instead of oak wood.

Fixes Edit

  • Leaves placed by players in Creative mode are no longer able to decay.
  • Fences are no longer invisible when located within a chunk section with no other blocks.

Not including v0.2.1 alpha2, there are two versions of the 0.2.1 alpha.

J-version Edit

v0.2.1j alpha was released on Google Play on an unknown release date. The internal version is 0.2.1(2011) and has a size of 1.62 MB.

J-version Demo Edit

A free J-version demo of v0.2.1 alpha was released on Google Play on an unknown release date. The internal version is the same as the j version.

Lite version Edit

Minecraft – Pocket Edition Lite icon

A lite version of v0.2.1 alpha was released on the Apple App Store on March 14, 2012 [3] This is the last Lite version of the Pocket Edition alpha to be released on the platform and was removed in 2014.
