The Spring Drop 2025 (also referred to as Drop 1 2025[Bedrock Edition only]) is an upcoming Game Drop with no set release date. It adds warm and cold variants to various animal mobs, new foliage blocks to biomes, and ambience features such as sounds and falling leaf particles. The contents of this drop are available in snapshots in Java Edition, and it is also available in betas and Previews in Bedrock Edition.
Notable features
- Camels now spawn in Deserts.
- Bundles can now be found in some village chests.
- The appearance of both Mooshroom variants has been slightly updated to feature an extruded snout.
Sheep
Sheeps now have different rules for wool color based on the biome they spawn in:

Updates to Trading
Cartographer Trades
- Cartographers now offer the following updates:
- Sell 7 new maps pointing to different villages or structures in various biomes. These maps help players quickly locate specific areas.
- Cartographers from different village types sell a different range of maps and colored banners.
- Prices and quantities for some trades have been adjusted.
- Maps to structures in different biomes are available (e.g., villages in Desert, Plains, Savanna, Snowy Plains, or Taiga; Swamp Hut in Swamps; Jungle Temple in Jungles). Different biome cartographers will have different selections of these maps, available at Apprentice level.
- Trial Chamber and Ocean Monument maps remain available at Journeyman level.
- Colored banners are sold at Expert level, with the range varying by biome.
- A Woodland Mansion map is guaranteed at Master level, along with the globe banner pattern.

Wandering Trader Trades
The Wandering Trader now offers:
- Improved prices, more trade options, and larger stock amounts for many items.
- The ability to buy basic supplies from players, allowing players to earn emeralds by helping the trader prepare for their next journey.
- New items for sale may include:
- Logs (Acacia, Birch, Dark Oak, Jungle, Oak, Spruce, Pale Oak, Cherry)
- Enchanted Iron Pickaxe
- Potion of Invisibility
The Wandering Trader will also offer to buy two items from the following list:
- Water Bottle
- Water Bucket
- Milk Bucket
- Fermented Spider Eye
- Baked Potato
- Hay Bale

New blocks
- A new type of decorative block which can be found in the forests, dark forests and wooded badlands.
- Can have different amounts of leaves in one block space.
- Up to four leaf litter pieces can be placed in the same block space.
- Placing a leaf litter into an already placed leaf litter block increases the amount of leaves.
- Can have different amounts of leaves in one block space.
- Can be placed in four orientations.
- Can be created by smelting any type of leaves block.
- Can be used as fuel for smelting.
- Has unique block sounds.
- Can be washed away.
- A new type of flower which grow in birch forests, old growth birch forests and meadows.
- Can have different amounts of flowers in one block space.
- Up to four wildflowers can be placed in the same block space.
- Placing a wildflower into an already placed wildflowers block increases the amount of flowers.
- Using bone meal on wildflowers will produce more wildflowers.
- Can have different amounts of flowers in one block space.
- Can be placed in four orientations.
- Can be crafted into yellow dye.
- Can be washed away.

- Generates in the following biomes:
- They are tinted by the grass color of the biome they are placed in.
- Can be used in the composter, with a 30% chance to add a layer.
- Using bone meal generates a neighboring bush next to it if possible.
- Can be instantly broken without any particular tool.
- Generates in swamps and near rivers.
- When it's dark, glowing firefly particles appear around the firefly bush, up to 5 blocks away.
- Can be used in the composter, with a 30% chance to add a layer.
- Using bone meal on a firefly bush will spawn another firefly bush item.
- Emits a light level of 2.
- Can be instantly broken without any particular tool.
- Found in patches of 2 to 5.
- A new type of flower which has a chance of generating on cactuses in deserts and all types of badlands.
- Can be placed on cactus blocks or any block which has center support at the top of the block.
- Has a chance of growing on cactus blocks.
- If a cactus is one or two blocks high the flower has a 10% chance to grow instead of the cactus getting higher.
- If a cactus is three blocks or higher the flower has a 25% chance to grow.
- Cactus flowers will only grow if they have space on all four sides.
- Can be used in the composter.
- Can be used to craft 1 pink dye.
- Is one block high.
- Generates in the desert and all types of badlands.
- Can be placed on types of sand, terracotta and dirt blocks like the dead bush.
- Can be bone mealed.
- Using bone meal on short dry grass grows it into a tall dry grass.
- Can be used in the composter.
- Sheep can eat short dry grass to regrow its wool.
- Can be used as fuel for smelting.
- Is one block high.
- Generates in the desert and all types of badlands.
- Can be placed on types of sand, terracotta and dirt blocks like the dead bush.
- Can be bone mealed.
- Using bone meal on tall dry grass places a neighbouring short dry grass next to the block if possible.
- Can be used in the composter.
- Sheep can eat tall dry grass to regrow its wool.
- Can be used as fuel for smelting.
