Thomas Jacob "Jack" Black (born August 28, 1969) is an American actor, comedian, and musician best known for his roles in various family and comedy films. Some of his most notable appearances include School of Rock, the Kung Fu Panda franchise, and Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. He is also the lead vocalist of Tenacious D.

In the Minecraft franchise

Jack Black is best known in the Minecraft franchise for his role as Steve in the upcoming A Minecraft Movie. He was revealed to be starring in the film in January 2024, and later appeared in a promotional video for the 15 Days of Minecraft alongside Jason Momoa, teasing the film.

Prior to that, he narrated one version of the Minecraft: The Island audiobook, while Samira Wiley narrated the other.
