Hidden Depths is an upcoming paid DLC for Minecraft Dungeons that will be released on May 26, 2021, the 1st year anniversary of Minecraft Dungeons.[1] It is the fifth DLC in Minecraft Dungeons, and takes place in Ocean biome. Showcased at Minecraft Live 2020, it is the third Season Pass DLC after Flames of the Nether and Howling Peaks. It will have 3 levels like most DLCs.

October 3, 2020Ocean DLC revealed during Minecraft Live 2020 in early development.
May 10, 2021The name for the DLC is revealed to be Hidden Depths and the release date of May 26, 2021.

Trivia

  • In a Twitter video, a Bubble Column is shown, confirming it will appear in the DLC, possibly acting as an oxygen refill spot for players.
  • In yet another Twitter video, a Tropical Slime and a Sunken Skeleton are seen in a distance, once again with a Bubble Column.
  • Some Salmon and Cod appear in the background of the official poster for the Hidden Depths DLC though it is unknown if they will be in it.
  • Starfish are seen on the ocean floor in the background in a recent Twitter video. It is unknown what role, if any role at all, they will play within the DLC.
  • On the Switch announcement for the Hidden Depths DLC, they talk about a baby turtle pet. [verify]
