This article is about the item used to craft turtle shell helmets. For the helmet, see Turtle Shell. For the item obtained from armadillos, see Armadillo Scute.

Turtle scutes are items that baby turtles drop when they grow into adults. They can be used to craft turtle shells which can be used to brew the potion of the Turtle Master.

Obtaining Edit

Mob loot Edit

Baby turtles drop a single turtle scute when they grow up into adults, which is the only possible way to obtain the item.

Usage Edit

Turtle scutes can be crafted into turtle shells.

Trivia Edit

  • Scutes used to be called "Turtle Shell Pieces", they were renamed after it was pointed out that "Scute" was a more technical term.[1]
  • Scutes were renamed Turtle Scutes in anticipation of the arrival of Armadillo, which drops Armadillo Scutes in the Armored Paws update.
