Yes, the mobs should be added, with a {{main}} link to the article. As for grassless dirt, it never was removed, there was simply a texture change, and the addition of an in game name. KnightMiner (t|c) 16:34, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Quiver[edit source]

Am I right to put the Quiver in the unused section of this page? Or should it go on Mentioned features as it still exists as a sprite (although I don't know where would make sense though) GoandgooTalk

Sugarcane[edit source]

Are you sure you mean the block form and not the item form? The item form is the one that works with all the crafting recipes, meanwhile the block form is the technical block placed by the item which can grow more sugar cane.

plate.png (with small P)[edit source]

Actually, plate.png Was used in c0.30_01c, in Survival mode, but it was hardcoded to creative, as the (decompiled) code states: "

This is where plate.png is used. And this is where the gamemode is hardcoded to Creative: "

If you want to see it with your eye, open the jar with a decompiler and take a look at com/mojang/minecraft/l.class and com/mojang/minecraft/mob/HumanoidMob.class .

+ you can go into survival mode by modifying "public com.mojang.minecraft.d.b a" in l.class to be "com.mojang.minecraft.d.c" with a bytecode editor.

Splashes (PE)[edit source]

The text says "Notch <3 ez!" is still present in PE. I checked my Win10 Edition 1.0 splashes.json and it's gone, but I have no clue when it might have been removed if it was ever there (I don't remember ever seeing it displayed). power.png[edit source]

I dug into the files of beta 1.7.3 and discovered something unused. It was called "power.png" without the quotes. I checked to see if it was still there in 17w06a, but I couldn't find it where it was before. In fact, I couldn't find it anywhere. It had been removed. Anybody else know anything about this? Should we include dead Coral or not?[edit source]

In the last edit, dead coral was added to the removed features. Should we really include it though? It only appeared in just a few snapshots of 1.13, and there are no features that I see on this page only appreared in snapshots (I didn't look closely though). I personally think that this should be deleted, but I'm open for anything. It does seem like snapshots often test lots of things that are later removed, and I don't think Dead coral is really worth mentioning. Another reason for this is that dead coral is actually a coral variant and was just split up into several dead corals, meaning that dead coral was never really removed.-- Madminecrafter12TC 21:46, 12 March 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Raw and cooked fish shoulnd't be here[edit source]

In 1.7, their translation key was changed to item.fish.cod.raw.name and item.fish.cooked.raw.name and apparently (https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/5gyjng/what_kind_of_fish_is_the_fish_item/daw8rao/?context=0) the in-game name was planned to be changed back then. Still, Mojang themselves asked the Java Edition translators to translate is as "cod" (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uqg6mPo6iIQOuqcUsAGXgN-glUEhM1bCKWzcGT6MDRA/pubhtml?gid=0&single=true).

The name in the en_us file was changed in 17w47a, along with the "flattening" and is unrelated to the actual fish mob and texture change. Only the changes made in 1.13 matter, the technical changes in 1.7 didn't have any effect when it comes to actual gameplay.
Having said that, I still don't think raw and cooked fish should be listed. Changing the name and texture at the same time doesn't make it a new item. Same goes for the rose which in my opinion is misplaced within this article. Only the texture and name were changed in 1.7, nothing else was. So it wasn't removed or replaced, it was just altered. I think the rose is a unique case, as from the players' point of view, Mojang took out one type of flower and replaced it with another. Yes, in the code this is simply a name and texture change, but it's one that generated a lot of discussion in user communities - and it still gets noted from time to time. Because of its history, I think this change is notable, and therefore the Rose section should be retained. I don't think the fish / cooked fish changes meet the same standard, and so I wouldn't support including sections for such changes. Memetics talk | edits 22:12, 13 April 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Potions[edit source]

I don't know if any of the unused potions had effects or not. The content of the only revision of the Clear Potion page before it was deleted was:

Clear Potion gives you 3 minutes of speed and 3 minutes of haste.
Curently can only be modded for.

This was created by a user with no other contributions, either before or after that one. Between the editor's lack of a trustworthy reputation, and the mention of mods, I don't think this edit can be used as evidence that the unused potions had effects. -- Orthotopetalk 19:17, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There might have been some confusion regarding the MD3 mobs' drops.[edit source]

Dear fellow Wiki-users,

I have experimented with the old Indev versions containing MD3 mobs, and, based on what I have observed, I think that their drops might need to be corrected. You see:

Firstly, the male MD3 mobs can all drop 0-2 items. Secondly, every male MD3 mob has one specific item; Steve will always drop string, Black Steve will always drop gunpowder and Beast Boy will always drop feathers. Thirdly, none of the male MD3 mobs ever drop a flint and steel, as is not only evident when playing Indev 20100130, but also when looking at the game's source code.

As for my proof for this, as well as my observations regarding Rana's loot, kindly refer to my forum-post regarding the matter.

Piglins are being added soon, and Zombie Pigmen are being renamed to Zombified Piglins. Replaced features section or page[edit source]

I think there is a lot of replaced features that could use it's own place. We have the pigman, rose, grass-less dirt, classic wool colors, wool armor, etc. I think if the changes are large enough, we could put it in this category. Maybe the criteria could be a name and a texture change, but it has to be different enough. (e.g. clay being renamed to clay ball wouldn't qualify even though it technically had it's texture changed.) Java Edition removed features#Crafting recipes and Crafting#Removed recipes link to each other as the "main article". Neither contains a Java-only list of removed recipes. Old rain sounds (before 1.9/TU69)[edit source]
