== Rendering GIF isometric blocks to APNG? ==

Most of new browsers supports APNG format, though not sure does it work in wiki uploader though. Are you able to do render those animation blocks in APNG format if possible? Pros would be just better anti-aliasing and transparency and lossless format. Cons would be bigger size, and not completely supported by old browsers. (Though, what about SVG format additionally?) :Actually Firefox and Opera (and two others that I've never heard of, and are probably not mainstream browsers) are the only browsers that supports APNG. Chrome can support APNG with an addon, but we can't really expect everyone to have that installed. :You can only do that if B doesn't edit anything that A does (thus the conflicting revisions). You can also go into view history, go to a revision and hit edit, then save the page. :It appears to be a bug the way the page renders certain elements, the list item in particular (I don't know if you've noticed, but the alignment for text gets thrown out 1px by list items as well, but you'd never notice it unless you saw a side-by-side comparison). First I thought it was to do with >1 em values, but after changing it to 1px it's still being pushed off. On some pages the invimage will look correct until you edit the page, and on others it's the opposite way. It appears Chrome is the only one not affected, and is actually displaying it correctly (which ends up 1px too high because you changed the values). It seems the original method of div tables was stopping this happen (I guess it isolates it?), but this brings me back to the original problem. Since these are meant to be a replacment for normal images, they need to act like them, and be able to be included anywhere and an image would be able to. But if you're using div, div tables or normal tables then you can't have anything next to it without using float, which is rather messy and often doesn't seem to work properly and the text aligns to the top of the "image", instead of the centre. It seems it has to be within the div to actually listen to the vertical-alignment style.

:Well a talk page is just like any other page, but with a Talk: prefix. The software only knows that the page was edited, it doesn't know if it was a reply to anyone specific. The watchlist really is the only conventional way.

I've colored pixel by pixel the textures of leaf blocks and grass blocks (top only) and now they have the inventory color. With these texture, you can upload Leaves.gif with official colors and Grass.png with official top texture color.
I made some screenshots featuring Steve holding the various blocks with the top toward the sun, so that they are the brightest possible. With paint.net I took the colors and I changed the textures. (sorry for my bad english, i used a little bit Google Translate)

I think I understand what you're talking about, as far as performance issues.  Maybe.  I've never noticed any of the wikis I've used the re-template trick on having any problems.  But, okay!  In order to have a signature that is unique, complies to the "no double-templates" rule, '''and''' isn't a mile long in code, I've gone ahead and simplified it down to 190 characters (just over two lines of text on a standard 80x24 display).  It still says "Hi, I like fixed-width fonts!" but lacks the old-style "terminal" look I had prior.  To avoid confusion with the timestamp, I've also elongated the "U|T|C" into actual words.  Hopefully, the signature looks okay now, both code-wise and otherwise.  I think it does, at least!

Also, sorry about using the wrong call code in the first place.  I actually pinched everything from myself on ''Wikipedia'', where I'm known as "Joseph Collins". :Well the performance issues problem depends on how much you post in talk pages. The wiki already has enough performance issues as it is (it's currently running on 3 servers, and yet updating the block template still brings it down for a few seconds). It's just better to make all signatures be subst (a rule that I've been meaning to have added to the wiki rules page for a while, never get time for it).
:A tip for keeping your signature code down is to use redirects. Take a look at my signature for example, I use User:Ultradude25/t and User:Ultradude25/c as redirects to my talk and contribs page. I think it would be very useful to have a downloadable version of this minecraft wiki. I understand that the wiki regularly changes, but it would be very useful for me to be able to download instances of all of the pages of the site as-is at any given moment.

The reason for this: I am learning to use minecraft, and there is (of course) a lot of very useful and interesting information on this site. However, I often play minecraft while I am not connected to the internet. It would be useful to me, at least, if there were a link on the wiki's menu to download all of the contents of the wiki to my computer. I don't imagine the contents would require that much space, since it's mostly text.

Is this already possible somehow? I can see you're very occupied reverting everything but however the attackers seem to be the same person, occuping a proxy or some sort of bot tool, since he's changing accounts within seconds. I have the theory that it's the guy that spammed the wiki with the Hitler stuff half an hour ago and certainly it seems that he has very a persisting personality. 

I'm guessing it is impossible to IP ban him or something but however, if he is controlling a bot then it could be useless to do so. ::Well the java player follows the size set (you were probably looking at it before I fixed the sizing), <s>but the HTML5 player doesn't</s> fixed now. I'll look into fixing that later, but since the HTML5 player isn't actually working properly it's not too important.

::On that note (pun not intended), I'm not really sure the reason the player isn't working here, I can play OGG files on Wikipedia just fine using Firefox's in-built player. The only possible thing I could think of is the server isn't set up properly for non-standard file types. You'll notice if you directly try to view an OGG file or even an SVG file on this wiki, it will just be text, instead of trying to let the browser display it as its filetype ([https://www.minecraftwiki.net/images/c/c8/Creeperdeath.ogg Example on here]. [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bb/Vampire_3component.ogg Example on Wikipedia]), which means that the video tag is actually trying to play the OGG file as a text file, and thus it of course fails to load.

Hi. We've held [[Talk:Known_bugs#New_page_for_1.0_bugs.3F|a discussion]] the future of the [[known bugs]] page, and come to the consensus that, going forward, ''every'' version should receive its own subpage, rather than have the list for the current "release version" reside on the main page.  Around the time of this discussion, [[User:Cool12309|Cool12309]] and I each made our own drafts of the page.  The details are described in the red box at the top of [[known bugs]].  Cool12309's draft has petered out, and he's moved over to working on [[known bugs/Version 1.0.0|the page I created]], which is now much more authoritative than the [[known bugs|main page]].  Even with the very big warning on top of the main page, people (mostly IP addresses) still contribute stuff to it occasionally.  Given the consensus, and the [[version 1.0.0|version 1.0.0 list's]] state, I think it would be a good idea to do the following:
* Copy the last pre-1.0.0 revision of [[known bugs]] to [[known bugs/version 1.8.1]] and protect or semi-protect the archive.
* Replace the contents of [[known bugs]] with a link to [[known bugs/latest]] (which will redirect to the latest version), a directory of all current and previous bug lists, and a brief description of issues list procedure.
* Profit.

When I created the page, I simply followed the convention of all the previous version-specific pages, which are now locked.  Since you're an admin, though, you can move them, right?  On the topic of page names, I think that, for example, [[Known bugs/Version 1.9pre6]] should be moved to [[Known bugs/Beta 1.9pre6|Known bugs/'''Beta''' 1.9pre6]].  Also, the name "known bugs" is not really accurate anymore, since the page has evolved from being a secondary source documenting "bugs that are widely known to exist" to a set of primary-source ''issue'' list, which include issues that are ''not'' bugs (namely annoyances).  Since we're doing all of these moves anyway, this would be a good time to change the name to [[Issue lists]], or perhaps [[Oficial issue lists]], or [[Official Minecraft issue lists]].  (If we choose one of the more verbose names, we should probably set up [[Issue lists]] or [[Issues]] as a redirect.)  I use the plural ''lists'' since the root page serves as a directory for the version-specific lists.
::If you think this is a good idea, I can start work on a draft of the root page, to which we can probably hoist at least part of the really long instructions section that appears on every list. ::* High level enchantments are very difficult to get, even when many bookcases are nearby, since an enchantment setup with a max level of 50 will offer level 45 enchantments with the same frequency as it does level 10.  Enchantment levels of offerings should be normally distributed (bell curve), not uniformly distributed.
:: These annoyances are actually feature requests, but they are certainly acceptable.  Indeed, minor improvements like these form a very important class of annoyances.  We need to inform people that these are valid (so they don't make comments like "not a bug" or "feature request"), while still keeping out stuff like:

(DONT SPAM IT LOL...but seriously, it is my most reliable method of contact along with FaceBook and Phone) I just don't want things to end once I leave the wiki. I feel at home here.

:Wyn says range blocking is disabled, and isn't coming back (for whatever reason). Personally I don't really care that much. This guy will get bored eventually. == MiniCraft ==
Hello Ultradude. I want to start making the MiniCraft article, I saw that you wrote that it's not 100% Mincraft related so it's not deserve a whole article in this wiki. However it have lot of infromation, and i wondered where i do can write about the game, add images etc in this wiki. I think that adding wiki for MiniCraft will be kinda waste and also pretty difficult.
