You cannot. Helpfully edit at least 9,892 more times and you may be considered. However, we currently have very good admins and I think the general consensus is that the Wiki is doing rather well with its current set of administrators. Maethoredhel (t • c • ) 18:57, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi Gustisz, are you asking how to add a link to the Lithuanian version of that page? It's protected so that only administrators can edit it, so you'll have to give the link to me or another administrator. Hi Gustisz, there's a project to start a Lithuanian translation at Minecraft Wiki:Projects/Lithuanian translation. About the horse

I would like to suggest that add some information on the horse -- riding section

there was some original information like :Horses cannot fit through a 1-block-wide gap. And actually when I riding a horse and cross a minecart, I found the horse was suddenly sit in it, and it start to move alone the railway. Due to at some place the railway was only 1 block wide (which means that on both side of the railway have the solid block like stone or dirt). the horse start to loose health, even when I get off by press the shift, the cart still running and after a short time, the horse died ( I believe that it was due to take suffocation damage) So I would like to suggest that add information after above one, that if in any case that the horse was put in a 1-block-wide gap, it will take suffocation damage and may die. Yep, it hasn't worked in years; I've just never bothered to try to figure out what the correct link would be (if there's even any way to view player skins via one of the official websites any more, that is). Your thoughts on template formatting

I often find it difficult to understand templates without a lot of study. As a programmer, I learned to format and comment my code for ease of maintenance. However, this seems not to be common practice on wikis. Is there a technical reason for this, perhaps because the larger size of such a template consumes more resources? Here is a sample of what I'd like to do when I maintain a template, time permitting: User:Auldrick/Sandbox/Exclusive. I'd like to get Majr's thoughts as well, if he's not too busy. --– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 16:21, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

I suspect the biggest reason(s) for it is simply that templates are relatively accessible for people with no other programming experience, so they don't have good code formatting habits ingrained yet; possibly combined with a misconception that whitespace doesn't get along well with template code (and of course, monkey-see-monkey-do shouldn't be underestimated either - if all the examples you look at don't space the code out, you're not likely to space the code out yourself).

Your example may have problems with extra whitespace being inserted when transcluded; the rules for when a newline is inserted in template output, depending on what that line contains, are fairly obscure and shouldn't be relied on. Over the years I've developed a preferred method of spacing template code myself; an example can be seen with Template:Card table set on the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki (a much, much larger (and probably not perfectly consistent) example is Template:CardTable2 on the same wiki). While I'm not suggesting you have to follow this format yourself, there may be elements to it that you might want to steal.

You're right, my template was spamming newlines before and after the msgbox. I never even noticed while I was testing it. Guess I'll have to adopt that comment-out-the-newlines style you use. Glitched user page

It seems that my user page is somewhat broken. The page add-ons (sidebar, wiki header, wiki footer) that should be displayed outside the main content are displaying inside. It did not have this glitch the last time I checked into the wiki. – Dentedharp90041^tce 10:19, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Since the migration, the behavior has changed with non-closing divs. Previously, they were automatically closed at the bottom of the page. This is no longer the case.   MarkusRost (talk) 13:04, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Autopatrol

Is there any specific reason for giving autopatrol status to a select number of users? It is uncertain that the “patrolling“ system is ever used in a good extent, and Majr is not quite supportive of its usage (he didn’t find allowing regular administrators to assign autopatrol rights a good idea). — BabylonAS (talk | ru.Wiki Admin) (fka NickTheRed37) 13:48, 15 December 2017 (UTC)

Majr never said anything about his personal opinion on use of autopatrol or of patrolling edits; he simply observed that we don't currently bother with it on the English wiki here.

I've started granting it to users precisely so that if in the future someone wants to start patrolling edits, they don't have so many to slog through. At the moment I'm giving it to editors I recognize from my own time on the wiki as I see them editing, but I'd have no problem granting it to anyone who asks for it, as long as they don't seem to be a troublesome user. Merging old IP edits with account

Hey Dinoguy, as you know I've only been editing for a few months. But I've been here for longer, and I made a few IP edits here and there long before I had an account. Is it possible and also would you advise to merge (the IP of) those edits of mine with this account? Or for which reason would you rather recommend keeping IP edits separate? I'm not sure how this is normally handled on wikis. Would I need to prove ownership in some way? Thanks in advance. – Jack McKalling [ ] 15:25, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Hey Jack, it's possible to merge edits in this way with a server-side maintenance script, I believe, which means there's no way for us to do so on-wiki, so you'd have to request it from Gamepedia staff. I can't really answer whether they'll honor the request, though, or what their requirements might be. I don't know very much about the process, either; for example, if it's not possible to select individual edits, then if your IP(s) have been edited from by any other people, those edits would be wrongly attributed to your account. Whether deleted edits and log actions (if there are any) would be reassigned is another unknown; as you might imagine from these thoughts, merging edits like this isn't something often done on wikis (for example, I'm not aware of any such merges being done on WMF wikis). 「ディノ奴千？！」^{? · ☎ Dinoguy1000} 15:31, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Ok, I see. All my IPs have always been only mine I know, unless someone else has ever gotten the same one on their pc, however unlikely. So if it would have been easy to do here locally, then I'd ask for the whole IP rather than individual edits. But nevermind, if it requires Gamepedia then I wouldn't bother. As long as you leave a link to the IP's talk page or contributions, it should be fine.
