Stretching[edit source]
Does anyone know why the box is stretching past the right side? How can we fix it? I tried using bodystyle but it doesn't work. - M0rphzone(talk) 00:29, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- Update: Found the issue. There can't be any indented asterisks. - M0rphzone(talk) 00:34, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Collapsed by default[edit source]
Seeing how long this navbox is, can someone make it collapsed by default like the other navboxes (and content be placed on Tutorials/content) page? –Goandgoo ᐸ Talk

About Capitalization[edit source]
@Blobs2: I read the Style Guide you linked, and I know my mistake. However, the title "Blocks and Items" have that kind of capitalization format, and is in this same page. I don't mean to insist or anything, just want to know why (Or maybe that as well needs to be fixed?) ——JackAlpha26 (talk) 12:29, 27 April 2017 (UTC) JackAlpha26 (talk) 12:29, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- I changed the capitalization for three headers to comply with the style guide. The Blobs

Printers[edit source]
On this navebox, there is a duplicate link to Tutorials/Printing. One is in the "Challenges" section, and the other is in the redstone section. On the Tutorials page, it is in the big exploitation section. Which section does it belong in? The Blobs 16:16, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- It belongs with the redstone calculators and computers in the "redstone challenges" section.
Done I removed the duplicate link. The Blobs

Splitting into sections[edit source]
This template has gotten rather large, so it could be useful to split it into multiple sub templates, eg. General, Farming, Mechanisms(just an example). The main template would probably be kept, it could link to the sub templates in its table. Linking could be tricky though, especially if the sub templates have a link back to the main Tutorials page like they should. Putting the whole template on every tutorial page seems unnecessary and it would probably help users find related content rather than a bit of everything. Jahunsbe (Talk) 23:10, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- Alternatively show hide buttons could be added so long as parameters are added to choose what to show, similar to Template:Java_Edition_versions. Jahunsbe (Talk) 23:14, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
Support using show and hide buttons, don't really like the idea of splitting it into multiple different templates though. I'll experiment some in my sandbox.-- Madminecrafter12

Need help with adding a Tutorial[edit source]
Hello! So I was looking to add my recently created page, Tutorials/Defeating a Dungeon so more people would see it and improve it. Anyway, two things: A the template requests you to condense as many edits as possible into one edit to save editing on high use templates, are there any edits I should combine it with or is it fine to just put in the one link? B looking at a lot of the pages under the challenges and farming sections, they have the little icons related to what they show. Where would I find an applicable icon for this, and how do I insert it into the template? Thanks in advance TinyDM (talk) 15:41, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- @TinyDM: I added it for you. The request means you should use the "preview" button to preview your change before saving it, to be sure that you don't need to make further edits to correct a mistake. For the icons, you have to look at the template source code to see how others are doing it. I simply took one of the other "defeating a...." lines in the template and changed it dungeons, including the icon, and sure enough there was a dungeon icon. If there wasn't, I'd have omitted the icon.
- By the way, I disagree with the approach you took in your tutorial. The first thing you should do upon finding a dungeon is put a torch on the spawner, even if it means getting hit. After that, you can retreat, so you can prepare to clean up the dungeon mobs, usually no more than six. The best situation arises if you find a dungeon by breaking through a wall. You can typically place a torch on the spawner through the 1x1 hole in the wall. You can shoot arrows through the hole. The worst situation is falling into a dungeon with nowhere to retreat. In any case, the first thing should always be to put a torch on the spawner. Amatulic (talk) 16:47, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Amatulic: thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to add that in. TinyDM (talk) 21:00, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- @TinyDM: Also I've never needed a fancy weapon to defeat a dungeon. An iron sword will do. One thing that helps a lot is to bring a friend along! Amatulic (talk) 21:15, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Amatulic: thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to add that in. TinyDM (talk) 21:00, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
