Actually, in Bedrock Edition, torches CAN be attached to the side of a glass block

Limited Number

I am wondering if it is known if there is a limited number of torches? I have a lot of tunneling in my world and place a torch every 5 blocks. Soul torch recipe only shows two alternatives

The recipe for soul torches alternates between coal and charcoal and between soul sand and soul soil, but it does that at the same time, so it just keeps switching back and forth between two recipes instead of all four possible ones. Fabian42 (talk) 12:39, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

How is the crafting recipe unlocked?
