No actual screenshots?[edit source]

There appear to be only photos of physical screens and no actual screenshots. Are screenshots of the demo illegal or something? Fadyblok240 (talk) 23:13, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There's no publicly available download of this version anywhere AFAIK, so nobody would be able to access this version and take screenshots of anything in it. The only available images/videos of this version are anything Mojang has uploaded to YouTube, and any pictures people took during E3 2011 – JEC talk @ 23:38, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Different builds of the Demo[edit source]

I am sure many people already have noticed this but overlooked it. There are two different builds of the Pocket Edition demo, one from May, and one from June.

The May build doesn't have a block selector outside of the hotbar, as seen in the first preview. Also note the lack of particles, and blocks breaking instantaneously.

The June build is the version showcased in press releases and E3 2011. It introduced a wider variety of blocks introduced with the block selector button on the right, which added more items and blocks, including TNT. This menu could also be seen by pressing Triangle. The hotbar contains the same blocks as the previous build. Also seen in some footage, multiplayer was available through the kiosk where up to 3 people could play simultaneously. There was another version of the demo[edit source]

This version looked exactly like the Classic version of Java Edition. A screenshot of it is here (scroll down) Sunwukong3203 (talk) 22:52, 17 March 2025 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The file in that section was deleted from this wiki several years ago due to it being speculation, and most of the information about the "early prototype build" is just derived from that image. It is not an actual demo version of Pocket Edition, and none of the information from that section should be added here – FireX • talk @ 00:03, 18 March 2025 (UTC)Reply[reply]
