Earth:Mentioned features
Many features have been mentioned for inclusion in Minecraft Earth.
This page describes features that were mentioned but did not appear in the game.
Mobs[edit | edit source]
Goodbye poster[edit | edit source]

These mobs appear on the goodbye poster[1] from the Minecraft Earth Twitter account, but were not present in the game. Three of them, the teacup pig, entangled sheep, and undead rabbit, are brand-new mobs never seen anywhere else, which presumably would have been implemented into Minecraft Earth had the game not been discontinued.
Magma Cow[edit | edit source]

The magma cow is a scrapped mob that only has a few concept art pieces[2] to prove its existence. It did not appear in the game files.
Hyper Rabbit[edit | edit source]

The hyper rabbit is a scrapped mob that, like the magma cow, only has a few concept art pieces to prove its existence. It also did not appear in the game files.
Violet Rabbit[edit | edit source]

The violet rabbit[3] is a scrapped uncommon variant of the rabbit that only has a few concept art pieces to prove its existence. It's unused identificator violet_rabbit
was added to game's code in 0.16.0.
Dusky Rabbit[edit | edit source]

The dusky rabbit is a scrapped common variant of the rabbit that appears on promotional screenshot. It's texture was included since game's release and unused identificator dusky_rabbit
was added to game's code in 0.16.0.
Sable Rabbit[edit | edit source]
The sable rabbit is a scrapped common variant of the rabbit that appears on promotional screenshot. It's texture was included since game's release and unused identificator sable_rabbit
was added to game's code in 0.16.0.
Albino Rabbit[edit | edit source]
The albino rabbit is a scrapped common variant of the rabbit that appears on promotional screenshot. It's texture was included since game's release and unused identificator albino_rabbit
was added to game's code in 0.16.0.
Blotched Rabbit[edit | edit source]
The blotched rabbit is a scrapped common variant of the rabbit that appears on promotional screenshot and goodbye poster. It's texture was included since game's release and unused identificator blotched_rabbit
was added to game's code in 0.16.0.
Salt and Pepper Rabbit[edit | edit source]
The salt and pepper rabbit is a scrapped common variant of the rabbit. It's texture was included since release and unused identificator salt_and_pepper_rabbit
was added to game's code in 0.16.0.

Reverse chicken jockey[edit | edit source]

The reverse chicken jockey is a scrapped jockey or mob. It was part of Mattel Minecraft Earth series 19. It also appeared in an image in the files, alongside normal chicken jockeys.
Sticky note sketches[edit | edit source]
In three images that the Minecraft Earth developer Flexology shared on the Minecraft Earth discord server, there are concept sketches on sticky notes for several unimplemented Minecraft Earth mobs, including the Mooboom, the Fish in Chaps, and a Deer-like mob. The Mooboom seems to be the most developed of the concepts. It appears to be a cow made out of TNT, with dynamite sticks for horns, a fuse for a tail, and the letters "TNT" written on its sides. Some of the concept sketches depict it being ignited and exploding, alongside various puns on its name, including and limited to Moo-Boom, Cow-Booooom, and Mooboooooooom.[4] One of the sketches was confirmed to be the Pokémon, Wooloo[5].
World of Minecraft concept mobs[edit | edit source]

Minecraft Earth: Apple WWDC Gameplay Reveal[edit | edit source]

During the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference of 2019[6], an early version of Minecraft Earth was showcased. Some of the items or mobs that were shown didn't make their way into the game or were changed between the presentation and release.
Player head[edit | edit source]
A player head is present in Saxs Persson's inventory. The head resembles Lydia Winters' Minecraft skin.
Villager[edit | edit source]
A blacksmith villager can be seen on the top of the tower. They couldn't be obtained in the retail game and were absent from the files. Villagers were also seen in a Twitter video[7] and post[8] respectivly.
Baby mobs[edit | edit source]
A baby muddy pig can be seen at the end of the presentation. In the released version of Minecraft Earth baby mobs cannot be spawned; throwing a chicken egg causes an adult chicken to hatch instead of a baby one.
One of the game's artists also shared the inventory icons of several unimplemented baby mobs:
Other items[edit | edit source]
Other smaller items seen in the events are:
Texture changes[edit | edit source]
Mob of Me[edit | edit source]
The mob of me summoned in the event has the agent spawn egg texture instead of its inventory icon.
Discord Q&A[edit | edit source]
The developers answered questions on the game's Discord server. It turned out that they planned to add a lot of content from Minecraft to the game, in particular:
Villagers[edit | edit source]

It was planned to add villagers and trading in some special form to the game.[9] Perhaps players could get emeralds, the textures of which were already in the game files.
Enchanting[edit | edit source]
The game, according to the developers, could have featured the ability to enchant player's weapons.[10] Obviously, the developers would not have done it directly as in Minecraft, but perhaps a new tab appeared in the Make Stuff menu where the player could enchant their weapons.
Day/night cycle[edit | edit source]
The developers planned to add a day/night cycle to the game that could last 20 real minutes. However, this was not the final result, and they did not make a final decision.[11]
Nether[edit | edit source]

It was planned to add the Nether and all the blocks necessary for this, including unused obsidian. According to the developers, the user interface was to turn red and the map was to change as well.[12]
Map and tappables updating[edit | edit source]
According to the developers, they planned to add a lot of new tappables and map biomes to the game. However, it was not clear whether the biomes would depend on a real natural area or would appear randomly.[13][14]
Fishing[edit | edit source]

It was also planned to add fishing to the game. The game already had an icon of cod and buckets of cod and pufferfish, but there was no icon of the fishing rod itself, nor of the fishing mechanics.[15]
