The chicken jockey is a baby zombie riding a chicken that fights within an illager fighting ring in the Woodland Mansion.

Appearance

The chicken jockey closely resembles its adult counterparts, with green skin, a square head, an "intersex turquoise blouse," and jeans. Due to being younger, it is noticably smoother, with more visible white sclera and short hair. The chicken it jockeys is identical to all other chickens.

Personality

Initially, the baby zombie tries to present itself as cutesy and innocent, much like a living child. However, it turns out to be a ruse, as they are very aggressive in combat. Even when separated, the two appear to share a genuine bond, the chicken defending the zombie. As aggressive and cunning as the baby zombie is, the jockey still exhibits childish behavior such as crying upon defeat. When Garrett first defeats the jockey, the baby zombie cries and triggers his empathy just to lure him in for a second round and after Steve's interference, the baby cries again after being ejected from the ring.

Powers and abilities

The combined strength of the two mobs is shown to be quite strong, sending Garrett Garrison flying with a single hit. By extension, both are shown to be quite fast, if not uncatchable.

Biography

During a mission into Woodland Mansion, Garrett Garrison and Steve ended up being put inside of a fighting ring. Initially, Garrett is led to believe he is fighting a mere chicken, only for a crate to open up above the arena, releasing the jockey. This proved to be Garrett's match.

Trivia

• In a LEGO set promoting the film, the character and its mount are noticeably larger than prior LEGO incarnations.

Publicity

Prior to and up to the film's release, the Chicken Jockey's scene became a viral meme, which went on to become a real world phenomenon.
