The admin noticeboard is a way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~) when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:

• This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post any discussions on the community portal talk page or for in depth discussions on the forum.
• Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
• In case of vandalism, revert it first, since anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for speedy deletion. Always assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene.
• Do not post deletion requests here; instead, the page should be tagged for deletion.
• Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Instead, try making a request for comment or post on the forum.
• Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
• For account-related issues or requests, please contact the wiki host directly using this contact form.
• For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.
• Abuse filters cannot be disabled for specific people. However, an admin may be able to perform the edit themselves for you. "New user" filters expire after you log in and make some edits around the wiki.

Restore deleted spritesheet files

Requesting restoration of deleted spritesheet files like BlockCSS.png, because those have important authorship information that is necessary for proper attribution of individual sprite images per the wiki’s license, among other things (more specifically I’d like to learn who created the ominous banner sprite and how exactly). I agree these should be restored. MCW:Notability#Archiving states that unused significant templates and modules should be archived instead of deleted, but this IMO should also be extended to images.--Capopanzo (talk | contribs) 15:57, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

Bugs in trading related templates

The templates trade uses and trade sources are now broken. Nothing is displayed. I was searching which villager can buy lava buckets, and the Lava Bucket#Trading is an empty table, like this.

The table displays correctly for me. It could be your browser, do you have another device you can check it on? There are no changes listed in the history section of the template as of writing; although, there was a small change a few days ago in Module:Get trade info, which is used by the template. I have null edited Trading after which the data started showing up again. However it's already gone again, it seems like SMW is just incredibly unreliable with actually storing the data for some reason. Adding to this, the drop table in the bone article shows only drops for cod and not the other fish. It used to show salmon, pufferfish, and tropical fish also, but these disappeared when I corrected the drop tables in the individual mob articles and refreshed their pages. All except tropical fish reappeared briefly after I made a minor edit to each of the mob pages and refreshed them, but then disappeared again when I refreshed the bone article.

I uploaded a file from the minecraft.net files (File:MinecraftTen.woff, the Minecraft Ten font) and was wondering, while looking at MediaWiki:Common.css, if it could be added there. The newly created account, User:PhoenlxAsh89, has an almost identical username to User:PhoenixAsh89. The only edit they've made so far is to create a user page with the word "Test", but I don't think Rule #9 permits accounts with such similar names. Rampage455 (talk) 00:41, 12 January 2025 (UTC)

Re-requesting bot user group for Wilfbot

My bot User:Wilfbot will be used for replacing simple texts, uploading files, creating redirects or moving pages per request or discussion. For the time being, I'll use it to replace obsolete tags in signatures one by one, like half-manual. There are 3 reasons I request it again. First, I have spitted sprites for Chinese Wiki, so I'm not a newbie bot operator now. Second, I fix hundreds of lint errors manually in the past few months. Unable to edit Java Edition 25w03a

I tried making this edit to Revision as of 14:04, 17 January 2025 by 78.173.131.110 (a.txt), but I got blocked by a filter: You are attempting to remove a section of this page. As a new user, your action has been disallowed. Which is correct, but was done in good faith, because I think moving the only note to the section part of the citation next to it looks better... at least I think so. It's better if someone else reviews this.

As a new user I tried to remove an outdated section, and I was Autoblocked.

The section in question was one in the article Bedrock Edition unused features, which claims that baby trader llamas cannot be obtained. This is untrue, try breeding two trader llamas and it works. Narfhead4444 (talk) 22:01, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
