An '''emerald''' is a type of [[MCD:Currency|currency]] that can be found within the various [[MCD:Mission Select|missions]] of ''[[Minecraft Dungeons]]''. Other currencies include [[MCD:Enchantment Point|enchantment points]], [[MCD:Gold|gold]], and [[MCD:Soul|souls]].

* {{DuMiscLink|Emerald Chest}} - after completing [[MCD:Creeper Woods|Creeper Woods]] for the first time, an emerald chest can be found in a random location in the camp that contains fifty emeralds. This happens after completing any {{MCD|Mainland}} mission on default until {{MCD|Obsidian Pinnacle}}.

== Usage ==
They can be used in the [[MCD:Camp|Camp]] to purchase [[MCD:Item|items]] from the [[MCD:Luxury Merchant|Luxury Merchant]], [[MCD:Village Merchant|Village Merchant]] and the [[MCD:Mystery Merchant|Mystery Merchant]]. They can also be used to gift items to other heroes with the [[MCD:Gift Wrapper|Gift Wrapper]] and upgrade items with the [[MCD:Blacksmith|Blacksmith]]. They can also be used to save the hero from death with the {{DuEnchantmentLink|Death Barter}} enchantment and can give the hero temporary immunity in the form of the [[MCD:Emerald Shield|Emerald Shield]] effect. On some [[MCD:Daily Trial|Daily Trials]], the hero can be healed by four [[MCD:Health Heart|health points]] per emerald collected.
