0.28_01 is a version of Classic released on October 27, 2009. This version is not available in the launcher, but has been archived elsewhere.

Fixes

• Fixed bug where players could kill each other in Creative-mode multiplayer.
  • This also means that the player can no longer damage mobs in Creative mode.
    • Mobs will also absorb arrows, but sheep can still be "sheared".

Trivia

• 0.28_01 can be changed to Survival mode by editing the Minecraft.class file in minecraft.jar.
