Before it goes to the next stage of oxidization it will check if there are any blocks of copper around it with lower levels of oxidization. If there is it will wait another 20 minutes before oxidizing. You can revert oxidization with an [[Axe\|{{ItemSprite\|Axe}}Axe]] or you can pause the oxidization with {{ItemSprite\|Honeycomb}}[[Honeycomb]] which will award you with the achievement [[Wax On]]. ~~However, as a [[Copper Bulb]] oxidizes its light level will drop.
